Perpetual Bran Muffins - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 c. All-Bran cereal
2 c. 100% bran cereal
2 c. boiling water
1 c. soft shortening or oil
5 tsp. soda
1 qt. buttermilk
3 c. sugar
4 eggs
5 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
Preparation

Pour hot water over cereal.
Add buttermilk and sugar.
Beat eggs and add to cereal.
Add shortening.
Add flour, soda and salt.
Stir just until mixed.
Do not overmix.
Put in jars and store in refrigerator.
Keeps 5 to 6 weeks.
Do not stir when taking out.
To bake, fill muffin pans 1/2 full.
Bake at 400\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
