Hearty Tomato-Beef Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 c. chopped onion
    1 c. chopped celery
    1 Tbsp. butter
    3 1/2 c. tomato juice
    2 beef bouillon cubes
    1/3 c. regular rice
    1/2 tsp. chili powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1 bay leaf
    2 1/2 c. water
Preparation
    Saute ground beef, onion and celery in melted butter in large saucepan until meat is well browned.
    Stir in remaining ingredients.
    Bring to a boil.
    Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 20 minutes.
    Remove bay leaf.
    Makes 2 quarts.
