Linda'S Homemade Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 pkg. yeast
1 1/4 c. warm water
1 c. warm water
5 Tbsp. sugar
3 Tbsp. shortening
1 Tbsp. salt
6 1/2 c. bread flour
Preparation

Dissolve yeast in 1 1/4 c. warm water.
Stir in 1 c. warm water.
add sugar, salt, and shortening.
add 3 1/2 c. flour and stir until smooth.
Add rest of flour to make dough easy to handle.
Place in greased bowl to rise about 2 hours or until double in size.
Divide dough in half and let rest 10 minutes. Grease 2 loaf pans and put dough in pans.
Let rise until double or until pan is full and bake at 400 degrees until brown.
Put melted butter on top before and after baked.
