Buddy'S Barbecue Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients

4 to 6 green peppers, chopped
4 to 6 onions, chopped
1 stalk celery, chopped
6 to 8 garlic pods, crushed
6 to 8 bay leaves
1/2 small can chili powder
1/2 small can dry mustard
4 large Heinz catsup
4 qt. water
salt and pepper to taste
1 c. wine vinegar or lemon juice (preservative)

Preparation

In large pan, mix all preceding.
Simmer 2 1/2 hours.
Remove bay leaves.
Put in pint bottles, taken from boiling water; seal. Store in cool place.
Good on grilled chicken, pork chops, hamburgers or use in baked beans.
