"Yummy" Punch Bowl - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. plain gelatin
    1/2 c. cold milk
    3 1/2 c. milk, scalded
    1 c. sugar
    6 egg yolks, beaten
    1 qt. cold strong coffee
    1 tsp. vanilla
    6 egg whites
Preparation
    Soak gelatin in cold milk; dissolve in scalded milk.
    Gradually beat sugar into egg yolks.
    Pour small amount of hot milk into egg mixture.
    Stir into remaining hot mixture.
    Combine with cold coffee.
    Add vanilla; cool.
    Pour into freezer container and freeze.
    Let egg whites and custard thaw about 1 1/2 hours.
    Whip egg whites until stiff.
    Break custard into chunks and beat until smooth.
    Fold in egg whites.
    Pour into punch bowl and sprinkle with nutmeg or cinnamon.
