Pasta With Pesto - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. linguine or fettuccine
    1 1/2 Tbsp. salt
    4 qt. water
    1/2 c. heavy cream
    1 c. pesto
    Parmesan or Romano cheese, freshly grated
Preparation
    Bring water to boil; add salt, then add pasta.
    Use wooden spoon to stir pasta until all is under water.
    Boil rapidly until done.
    Stir 2 tablespoons of hot pasta water and the cream into the pesto.
    Drain pasta through a colander, then return to hot pan.
    Stir in pesto and toss well.
    Serve immediately.
