Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 3/4 c. boiling water
    1 c. uncooked oatmeal
    1 c. tightly packed brown sugar
    1 c. granulated sugar
    1/2 c. margarine
    2 large or 3 small eggs
    1 3/4 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. cocoa
    1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
    3/4 c. chopped nuts (optional)
Preparation
    Pour boiling water over oatmeal.
    Let stand 10 minutes.
    Add both sugars and margarine.
    Stir until melted.
    Add eggs and mix well.
    Sift dry ingredients together and add to sugar mixture. Mix well.
    Add about half of the chocolate chips and nuts.
    Pour batter into greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Sprinkle nuts and rest of chips on top.
    Bake 40 minutes in a 350\u00b0 oven.
