Cinnamon Candy - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 c. sugar
2 c. water
1 1/3 c. white corn syrup
1 tsp. red food coloring
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon oil (can be purchased at most pharmacies)
powdered sugar
Preparation

Mix sugar, water and syrup.
Cook, without stirring, until mixture reaches hard crack stage on candy thermometer (25 to 50 minutes). Remove from heat. Add food coloring and cinnamon oil. Stir carefully (mixture is hot). Sift powdered sugar into a 9 x 13-inch pan.
Pour mixture into pan.
Let set 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Crack with handle of butter knife.
Sift more powdered sugar on top.
Store in jars or Ziploc bags.
