Waldorf Fostoria Stew - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 lb. stew beef, cut into small pieces
4 potatoes (medium), cut into bite size pieces
2 carrots, cut into bite size pieces
2 Tbsp. tapioca
2 medium onions, chopped
1 c. celery, chopped
1 tsp. salt
pepper to taste
1 c. tomato juice or soup
3/4 c. water or cooking wine
Preparation

Preheat oven to 250\u00b0. Put meat and vegetables in layers in roaster or large casserole and sprinkle with seasoning and tapioca. Do not brown meat before cooking. Add tomato juice and then add water or wine. Cover top of pan with foil, then put lid on tight. Cook for 5 hours in oven. This makes its own gravy.
