Veal Scallopini - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 lb. thin veal slices
1/4 c. salad oil
1 small clove garlic
3/4 c. thinly sliced onion
1/4 lb. mushrooms, sliced
2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 c. water
1/2 c. white wine
Preparation

Cut meat into serving pieces.
Heat oil in a large, heavy skillet.
Drop in garlic; add meat and brown very well on both sides over medium heat.
Remove meat and discard garlic.
Cook onion and mushrooms in drippings until tender.
Blend flour, salt and pepper into fat.
Stir in water and wine gradually.
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened.
Place browned meat slices in gravy.
Cover and cook over low heat for 30 minutes or until meat is tender.
Makes 4 to 6 servings.
