Red Cabbage - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 onion, cut into quarters
    2 Tbsp. butter
    2 tart apples, pared, cored and cut into halves
    2 lb. red cabbage, cored and cut into wedges
    1/4 c. cider vinegar
    1/4 c. sugar
    1/2 c. water or chicken stock
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
    pinch of ground cloves
    2 Tbsp. red wine
    2 Tbsp. currant jelly
Preparation
    Using steel blade, process onion, using on/off technique until chopped.
    Saute in butter in large saucepan until soft, 5 minutes. Using slicing disc, slice apples.
    Add apples to saucepan; cook 5 minutes.
    Using slicing disc, slice cabbage.
    Stir sliced cabbage, vinegar, sugar, water, salt, nutmeg and cloves into saucepan. Heat to boiling.
    Reduce heat.
    Simmer, covered, until cabbage is tender, about 1 hour.
