Strawberry Fig Jam - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    3 c. mashed figs
    2 boxes strawberry jello
Preparation
    Cover figs with jello and sugar.
    Let stand 45 minutes.
    Cook slowly 5 minutes.
    Raise heat, but don't bring to a boil.
    Cook 15 minutes or until thickens.
    Put in hot jars and seal.
