Sweet Pickle Sticks - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 pt. cucumber sticks
    3 3/4 c. vinegar
    3 c. sugar
    4 1/2 tsp. turmeric
    3/4 tsp. mustard seed
    3 Tbsp. salt
Preparation
    Combine cucumbers with boiling water to cover in bowl.
    Let stand for 4 to 5 hours.
    Drain cucumbers and pack into hot sterilized 1-pint jars.
    Boil remaining ingredients in saucepan for 5 minutes.
    Pour into prepared jars, leaving 1/2-inch headspace; seal with 2-piece lids.
    Process in boiling water bath for 5 minutes.
    Yields 6 pints.
