Coffee Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
3/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
3 eggs
2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 pt. sour cream
6 Tbsp. softened butter
1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. chopped nuts

Preparation

Cream shortening, sugar and vanilla; add eggs, beating well after each addition.
Sift flour, baking powder and soda together; add to creamed mixture alternately with sour cream.
Spread half of batter in a 10-inch tube pan that has been greased and lined on the bottom with waxed paper.
