New Orleans Pralines - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. brown sugar
    1/4 c. water
    1/4 c. butter
    2 c. pecans
Preparation
    Measure the sugar, water and butter into a 2-quart saucepan. Stir over slow heat until the sugar dissolves and the mixture boils.
    Put in a candy thermometer and all the pecans.
    Boil slowly, stirring constantly, until the temperature reaches 248\u00b0 (firm ball).
    Remove the sauce from heat and immediately drop the mixture by tablespoons onto a greased cookie sheet.
