Deep Dish Georgia Peach Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    3 Tbsp. flour
    1/8 tsp. nutmeg
    6 c. peaches, about 2 lbs., sliced
    1/4 c. grenadine syrup
    1 Tbsp. lemon juice
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 9 in. pie pastry
Preparation
    Combine sugar, flour and nutmeg in mixing bowl.
    Toss with peaches till well coated.
    Let stand 5 minutes.
    Carefully stir in grenadine and lemon juice.
    Turn mixture into 8x8x2 inch baking dish or deep 9 inch round baking dish.
    Dot with butter.
    Roll pastry to 10 inch circle and place over peaches.
    Cut slits for steam to escape.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 50-60 minutes.
    Can also bake as regular 2 crust pie.
