Bean Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 can each: cut green beans, yellow wax beans and rinsed kidney beans, all well drained
    1 small cut up green pepper
    1 small onion, cut in rings
    1/2 c. blanched almond slivers
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. vinegar
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/2 c. salad oil
Preparation
    Mix well and let stand, covered, for at least 24 hours.
    Hint: Home canned green beans are too soft.
