Mushroom Caviar - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 medium onion, minced
2 Tbsp. butter
1/2 lb. fresh mushrooms, finely chopped
2 Tbsp. lemon juice
1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 to 2 Tbsp. mayonnaise
1/2 Tbsp. salt
6 to 8 turns fresh ground pepper
Preparation

Saute onion in butter until golden brown.
Add mushrooms and saute for 5 minutes, stirring to mix well.
Add the lemon juice and Worcestershire sauce.
Mix well and remove from stove.
Now add enough mayonnaise to blend and add the salt and pepper to taste.
Mound into an attractive ball on one of your favorite serving dishes, cover and place in the refrigerator until well chilled.
Serve with Melba toast or your favorite cracker.
Yields 1 3/4 cups.
