Jam Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 sticks butter
    1 1/2 cup dark brown sugar
    3 cups all purpose flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. ginger
    1 cup buttermilk
    3 eggs, beaten
    1 cup blackberry jam
    1 cup pecans or walnuts, chopped
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
