Vanilla Ice Cream - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    2 eggs, beaten
    4 c. milk
    2 - 3 Tbsp. vanilla
    1 can sweetened condensed milk
    1 can evaporated milk
Preparation
    Blend sugar and cornstarch in a 2
    or 3 qt. pan.
    Add milk and eggs and mix thoroughly.
    Cook over low heat until mixture thickens, stirring frequently.
    Remove pan from heat.
    Add vanilla to taste and blend well.
    Pour into the freezer can of ice cream maker.
    Add condensed and evaporated milk and mix well. Refrigerate until cool.
    Begin the freezing process following the directions for the ice cream maker.
    Makes one gallon.
