Peggy'S Fruit Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 pitted dates chopped
    1 small can mandarin oranges, drained
    1 can pineapple tid-bits, drained
    1 small jar maraschino cherries, drained & cut in half
    1 small apple (red or green), chopped
    1 small can angel flake coconut
    1 c. chopped pecans or walnuts
    1 c. sour cream (8 oz)
    1 c. miniature marshmallows
Preparation
    In colander, drain the pineapple, mandarin oranges and cherries.
    Add the apple and dump into a large bowl. Mix.
    (The juice from the fruit helps keep the apple from turning dark.)
    Add the other ingredients and toss gently to mix.
    Refrigerate until ready to serve.
