The Old Rowena'S Famous Bean Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 (16 oz.) can cut green beans, drained
1 (16 oz.) can cut wax beans, drained
1 or 2 (15 oz.) cans kidney beans, drained
1 (16 oz.) can small green limas, drained (may omit)
1/4 c. onion, finely chopped
1/4 c. green pepper, finely chopped
1/4 c. celery, finely chopped
1 small jar pimiento
1/2 c. red wine vinegar
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. salad oil
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. Beau Monde seasoning (Spice Islands)
1 dash pepper
Preparation

Mix beans, onion, green pepper, celery and pimiento.
Bring the vinegar and sugar to a boil, stirring until sugar dissolves.
Add oil, salt, Beau Monde and pepper.
Pour over the vegetables and mix well.
Refrigerate for several hours or overnight.
It improves with time.
Serve on greens or in lettuce cups.
