Pea Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 c. chicken broth
    3 1/2 c. water
    10 oz. split peas
    1 can carrots
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1 stalk chopped celery
    1 tsp. minced garlic
    1/4 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Rinse and drain peas.
    In large pot, combine all ingredients. Bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, for 1 hour until peas fall apart and soup becomes thick.
    Serves 4.
