Ingredients

1 c. white sugar
1 c. brown sugar
1 1/2 c. lard-butter
3 eggs
5 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda water
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. nuts
Preparation

Combine sugars, lard-butter (I use 1/2 lard and 1/2 butter) and eggs.
Mix soda and small amount of water to form liquid.
Add flour, salt, vanilla and nuts.
Shape into rolls and wrap in wax paper.
Cool overnight.
Slice and bake at 350\u00b0 until light brown.
