Carrot-Raisin Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 oz. raisins
    1 c. water
    1 1/2 tsp. sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. lemon juice
    2 lb. raw shredded carrots
    1 c. mayonnaise
Preparation
    Combine first five ingredients.
    Cover and simmer 3 or 4 minutes.
    Remove from heat and let stand until raisins are plump. Drain well and cool.
    Combine carrots, raisin mixture and mayonnaise.
    Chill.
