Hot Cheese Hominy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. chopped onion
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine, melted
    2 (15 1/2 oz.) cans hominy, drained
    1 or 2 (4 oz.) cans chopped green chilies (to taste)
    1 (8 oz.) carton sour cream
    1 tsp. chili powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1 1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese, divided
Preparation
    Saute onion in butter in a large skillet.
    Add next 6 ingredients and 1/2 cup of cheese.
    Mix well.
    Pour into lightly greased 10 x 6 x 2-inch baking dish.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 20 minutes. Sprinkle remaining 1 cup of cheese over top.
    Bake an additional 5 minutes or until cheese melts.
    Yields 8 servings.
