Oatmeal Mcgregor Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. oats
    1 1/2 c. boiling water
    1 c. granulated sugar
    1/2 c. light brown sugar
    1/2 c. Crisco oil
    2 eggs
    1 1/2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Add boiling water to oats in a small bowl, let stand 15 minutes.
    Blend sugar, oil and eggs thoroughly.
    Stir in oatmeal. Stir in nuts.
    Spread in a greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes until cake tests done with a toothpick. Immediately spread with frosting and broil 3 to 5 minutes until lightly browned.
