Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    1 c. light corn syrup
    1/2 c. water
    3 c. salted peanuts (Spanish)
    2 tsp. soda (no lumps)
Preparation
    Stir together the sugar, corn syrup and water in a heavy large saucepan.
    Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until temperature on candy thermometer reaches 280\u00b0.
    Stir in the peanuts (try to remove as many loose hulls as possible first). Cook slowly, without stirring, until temperature reaches 300\u00b0. Remove from heat and quickly stir in soda.
    Pour immediately onto two greased cookie sheets.
    Cool and break into pieces.
