2 lb. soft butter
2 c. sugar
8 c. flour
1/4 c. vanilla
Preparation

Blend butter and sugar until smooth.
Add flour and vanilla. Mix well.
Roll dough onto plastic wrap and freeze.
Cut dough in 1/4-inch thick slices.
Bake on cookie sheet at 325\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes (until edges are golden brown).
