Caramels - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1 3/4 c. Karo syrup
1 c. butter
1 c. cream
dash of salt
1 c. cream
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Bring to a boil first 5 ingredients.
Slowly add cream, without losing the boil.
Stir constantly until 240\u00b0 on thermometer.
Take off of heat; stir in vanilla.
Pour into 9 x 13-inch buttered pan.
Cut and wrap when cool.
