Date And Nut Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. chopped dates
2 tsp. baking soda
2 c. boiling water
2 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. butter
2 eggs
1 c. nuts
2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
Preparation

Pour boiling water over dates and baking soda.
Let cool. Cream sugar, butter, eggs and nuts. Put in date mixture.
Add vanilla and flour.
Put in layer pans.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 to 45 minutes.
Good served with Cool Whip or vanilla sauce.
