Mexican Fiesta - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 lb. lean ground beef
    1 large onion, chopped
    4 Tbsp. chili powder
    4 small cans tomato sauce
    1 can water
    1 small can tomato paste
    2 Tbsp. garlic salt
    1 28-oz. can pinto beans
    Crushed tortillas chips
    Hot cooked rice
    Condiments: grated Cheddar cheese, chopped onion, chopped tomatoes, chopped lettuce, Picante sauce
Preparation
    Brown ground beef and onion; drain well and transfer to a large pot.
    Add next 6 ingredients and mix well.
    Simmer 1 hour on low heat.
    Layer following ingredients on individual plates as follows: crushed Doritos; hot cooked rice; the meat sauce; grated Cheddar cheese; chopped onion; chopped tomatoes; chopped lettuce, and Picante sauce.
    Makes 8 servings.
