Ingredients

3 Tbsp. oleo
2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. milk
3 egg yolks
1/2 c. milk
3 Tbsp. flour
1 c. milk
2 tsp. vanilla
3 egg whites
1/4 c. sugar
Preparation

Melt oleo in skillet; add brown sugar.
Stir until dissolved. Add 1/2 cup milk; boil slowly.
In bowl, beat egg yolks, then mix 1/2 cup milk and flour.
Stir until smooth.
Add 1 more cup of milk; slowly add to sugar mixture.
Stir until thick; boil 2 minutes.
Add vanilla.
Cool.
Pour in pie shell.
