Marinated Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large cabbage, shredded
    1 large onion, chopped
    2 green peppers, chopped
    2 c. chopped celery
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. vinegar (white)
    1 Tbsp. salt
    2 tsp. celery seed
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1 heaping tsp. dry mustard
Preparation
    Cover
    cabbage,
    onion, green peppers and celery with 1 cup sugar
    and
    set
    aside.
    Bring remaining ingredients to a rolling boil;
    pour
    over
    vegetables.
    Pour
    into
    a covered container and
    marinate for 24 hours.
    Should be stirred once or twice. Keeps in refrigerator 4 to 6 weeks.
