Sweet And Pungent Spareribs - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 lb. spareribs, cut in pieces
1/4 c. vegetable oil
1/2 c. chopped onion
1/2 c. chopped green pepper
1 c. pineapple juice
3/4 c. cider vinegar
1/2 c. catsup
1 1/4 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 medium clove garlic, minced
1/2 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
2 Tbsp. cornstarch
3/4 c. water
Preparation

Brown spareribs in oil and set aside.
Pour off all but 2 tablespoons drippings.
Add onion and green pepper and saute until tender.
Add remaining ingredients except cornstarch and water to onion and green pepper.
Heat until bubbly.
Mix cornstarch and water together and add to sauce; cook 5 minutes.
Add ribs and simmer for 1 hour or until tender.
Makes 4 to 6 servings.
