Milk Gravy - cooking recipe
Ingredients
-
1/4 c. or so flour (self-rising or all-purpose)
1 c. milk
1 c. water
leftover bacon or sausage grease
Preparation
-
After you cook your meat (bacon/sausage), use the leftover grease to make your gravy or you can just use regular cooking oil. Put enough grease to cover the bottom of the skillet.
Add about a 1/4 cup or so of flour; mix it together good.
Then add milk and water.
Add more milk and water to get it thinner or more flour if you want it thicker.
Add salt, pepper and garlic if you wish.
Not a whole lot or it will be too garlicy.
Let simmer or a while.
The longer it cooks, the thicker it will get.
Stir often.
