Classic Onion Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 medium onions, thinly sliced
1/4 cup melted butter
2 Tbsp. oil
6 cups beef broth
1 tsp. sugar
dash nutmeg
6 slices toasted French bread
3/4 cup mozzarella cheese
Preparation

Saute onions in butter and oil until tender.
Add broth, sugar and nutmeg.
Bring to boil.
Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 10 minutes.
Ladle into baking dish.
Top with bread and 2 Tbsp. cheese.
Bake at 300 degrees for 10 minutes.
Makes 9 cups.
