Tabouli(Makes 6 To 8 Servings) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. dry bulghar wheat
    1 c. boiling water
    1 to 1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. fresh lemon/lime juice
    1 heaping tsp. crushed garlic
    1/2 c. chopped scallions
    1/4 c. olive oil
    2 medium tomatoes, diced
    1 packed c. fresh chopped parsley
    1 chopped cucumber
    fresh black pepper
    1/2 c. cooked, crushed chickpeas (optional)
    1/2 c. coarsely grated carrot (optional)
Preparation
    Should be prepared at least 3 hours before serving to allow to thoroughly marinate and chill.
