Molasses Crinkles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. butter or margarine, room temperature
    1 c. sugar
    1/4 c. molasses
    1 egg
    2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1 1/2 tsp. ground ginger
    1 tsp. ground cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. ground cloves
    1/2 tsp. salt

Preparation
    Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
    Grease 2 baking sheets.
    In medium bowl, beat butter or margarine and 1 cup sugar 5 to 8 minutes or until light and fluffy.
    Beat in molasses and egg until blended. Sift flour, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon, cloves and salt over sugar mixture.
    Stir with a wooden spoon to make a stiff dough. Shape dough into walnut sized balls; roll in sugar to coat.
    Place about 2 1/2 inches apart on greased baking sheet.
    Bake in preheated oven 12 to 14 minutes.
    Remove from baking sheets; cool on wire racks.
    Makes about 30 cookies.
