Mango Chutney - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 lb. sliced green mango
    2 Tbsp. chopped garlic
    1 pkg. currants
    1 Hawaiian chili pepper
    1 large chopped onion
    5 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. finely chopped ginger
    3 c. vinegar
    1 pkg. raisins
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    2 tsp. salt
    1 c. water
Preparation
    Cook ginger root and garlic in water for about 1 hour. Combine sugar and vinegar; simmer for 1 hour.
    Add sliced mango and cook until tender.
    Add remaining ingredients and cook until ready. Serve chutney with your favorite meat.
