Red Velvet Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter or margarine
    1/2 c. shortening
    3 c. sugar
    7 eggs
    2 tsp. vanilla
    3 c. cake flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. milk
    1 (1 oz.) bottle red food coloring
Preparation
    Combine butter, shortening and sugar; cream until light and fluffy.
    Add eggs, one at a time; beat well after each addition. Stir in vanilla and food coloring.
    Combine flour and salt.
    Add to creamed mixture alternately with milk.
    Beat well.
