Salisbury Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground chuck
    1/8 tsp. black pepper
    1 can mushroom soup
    1/2 c. crushed crackers or uncooked rolled oats
    1/4 c. chopped onion
    1 egg
    1/2 c. water
    1 1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. milk
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients, except mushroom soup and water.
    Make into patties and brown in bacon drippings.
    Place in baking dish. Mix the mushroom soup and water; pour over patties.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
    Serves 5 or 6, depending on size of patties.
