Loyd'S Better Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/4 c. sugar
    pinch of salt
    3/4 c. light Karo
    3/4 c. water
    2 c. raw unsalted peanuts
    1/8 lb. oleo
    1 heaping Tbsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Mix the sugar, water and Karo in a pot and cook to 270\u00b0, then add the peanuts and continue to cook to 290\u00b0.
    Add the oleo and continue to cook to 300\u00b0.
    Now add the heaping tablespoonful of baking soda, stir vigorously and pour onto Pammed foil.
    Let it cool.
    Do not try to flatten it out, it will be okay.
    Break into pieces, serve and enjoy.
