Chocolate War Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
2 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. soda, dissolved in 1/4 c. hot water
1 c. boiling water
1/2 c. cocoa
dash of salt
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Use a glass 9 x 12-inch loaf pan.
Cream sugar, shortening and eggs.
Add flour and cocoa mixture and milk alternately.
Add salt and vanilla.
Mix soda in hot water and blend well.
Add boiling water and mix well.
Mixture will be thin.
Bake at 325\u00b0 for 35 to 40 minutes.
