Devil'S Food Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. cocoa
2 c. sugar
1 c. shortening
2 eggs
3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. buttermilk
2 tsp. vanilla
1 scant c. boiling water
Preparation

Cream together cocoa, sugar and shortening.
Add and mix eggs. Sift together flour, baking soda and salt.
Add alternately with buttermilk and vanilla.
Add boiling water last.
Pour batter into three 8 x 1 1/2-inch pans or loaf pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 minutes.
