Ingredients

1/3 c. sugar
6 eggs
6 Tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. whole milk
boiling water
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
In a small nonstick pan on medium heat, melt the 1/2 cup of sugar.
Mix sugar as it begins to melt. Cook until sugar turns colored and is completely melted.
Pour syrup all at once into a 1-quart baking dish, tilting and covering the bottom and sides of baking dish.
Put dish in a 9-inch square baking pan.
Set aside.
