Sauerkraut Balls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 slices bacon
    1/2 c. onion, finely chopped
    1/2 c. mashed potatoes or more
    1 Tbsp. parsley flakes
    2 tsp. caraway seed
    2 eggs, beaten
    1 clove garlic, finely chopped
    1 (16 oz.) can sauerkraut, drained
    1 1/2 c. Special K cereal, crushed
    hot oil
Preparation
    Fry bacon until crisp; drain and crumble.
    Pour off all but 2 tablespoons fat.
    Saute onion and garlic until tender.
    Stir in bacon, sauerkraut, potatoes and parsley.
    Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto waxed paper lined baking sheet and form into a ball.
    Cover with waxed paper and refrigerate until firm.
    Mix cereal and caraway seed.
    Dip balls in egg mixture and roll in seeds and cereal.
    Deep fry.
