Microwave Brunswick Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 to 3 lb. chicken pieces
    1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
    1 c. water
    1 c. thinly sliced medium onion
    2 bay leaves
    1/2 c. fresh carrots, sliced
    1/2 c. fresh celery, diced
    1/2 c. frozen peas
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch, dissolved in 1/4 c. water
Preparation
    Place chicken, tomatoes, 1 cup water, onion and bay leaves in large casserole.
    Add salt and pepper to taste.
    Cover; microwave on High for 7 minutes.
    Stir.
    Microwave on Medium for 15 minutes. Stir in carrots, celery and peas.
    Microwave on High for 15 minutes.
    Remove bay leaves; stir in cornstarch mixture. Microwave on High for 5 to 10 minutes, until chicken is done and mixture thickens.
