Corn On The Cobb With Savory Lime Butter - cooking recipe

1/2 cup butter softened
1 tablespoon snipped fresh savory, or 1 teaspoon dried savory, or thyme, crushed
1 teaspoon finely shredded lime peel
8 fresh ears of corn
Preparation

Remove husks from fresh ears of corn. Scrub with a stiff brush to remove silks. Rinse and cook uncovered in enough lightly salted boiling water to cover ears. Cook for 5 - 7 minutes or until tender. Meanwhile, in a small bowl, thoroughly combine the butter, savory and lime peel. Serve herb butter with hot corn. Store any remaining butter, covered in the refrigerator.
