Harriet'S Caramel Nut Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    1/4 c. shortening
    1 (1 lb.) box brown sugar
    1 c. white sugar
    5 eggs
    3 c. cake flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. baking powder
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
    1 c. milk
    1 c. finely chopped black walnuts
Preparation
    Grease and flour a 10-inch tube pan.
    In a large bowl, cream the butter and shortening.
    Add the brown and white sugars.
    Add the eggs, one at a time, beating until creamy.
    Sift together flour, salt and baking powder; add alternately with the milk and vanilla until well blended.
    Fold in nuts.
    Pour into pan.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    Serves 8.
